Child of the Crystal Night
Sweet child of the crystal night
In the shining of the light
The moon is rising rising bright
In silent drifting dreaming white
Snowflake crystals slowly fall
As cold moonbeams illumine all
And tiny ears still hear the call
Of something far beyond recall
For lost in quiet serene still morn
We are the lords of the morning dawn
And none can challenge such as we
When from dark power we break free
Yet motionless in frozen space
The sparkling strands of silver lace
All lattice worked in golden grace
Soon disappear and leave no trace
And we who wait upon our time
That knows no reason nor of rhyme
Must needs the crystal mountain climb
That reigns in majesty sublime
For yet as now our dream lives on
From ancient time all now forgone
We hear the call of gods beyond
All earthly care or black despond .....
